Travel to the zoo differently – on board a motor cruiser or steamboat.

You'll avoid the stress of city traffic, arrive comfortably at the zoo and have a great experience. You can buy some refreshments on the boat, there is a toilet and the boat is heated in the winter. The boat sets sail downstream from the dock on the Rašín Embankment and first passes through the Smíchov lock chamber and then past the shores of Kampa under the Charles Bridge. From there, it heads further downstream to the lock chamber at Štvanice Island, past Holešovice and Libeň, under the Barikádníků Bridge and the new Troja Bridge before heading to the dock at Císařský Island. Here the cruise ends. The cruise takes approximately 75 minutes.

During the cruise, you will have the opportunity to see Prague from a different perspective. See sights such as the panorama of Prague Castle, Vltava bridges and islands, the completely new Troja Bridge, Letná Gardens, and Metronome.

Then it´s just a few-minute walk to the Zoo. It´s one of the most beautiful zoos in the World.

The Prague Zoo was founded in 1931 and despite major political changes and reversals of the 20th century and the great floods in 2002, it has continued to grow to its current form. It is the 5th most visited and most popular zoo in the world. There are 10 pavilions and 150 exhibits. At the end of last year, 5,375 species of animals lived in the Prague Zoo. In addition to the exhibits, visitors can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Troja Basin, a cable car, a train, and much more. For children, there is a special Children´s ZOO, a unique play area, a children´s tram, and other smaller playgrounds.

The Zoo also offers special entertaining programs such as the feeding of giraffes and elephants.

When you have enjoyed enough of the zoo, you will head back to Císařský Ostrov, where you will embark again and go back to the city center.
